Future Force inquiry Learning

The Future Force have been involved in an inquiry process that hooked them in through a Te Puke local who has raised money to design and build a skate park here in Te Puke. The students invited the expert in and also visited a number of skate parks before researching the elements of what a successful skate park looks like and has included. The achievers then designed and constructed prototypes using mine craft and miniature models... The following photos are some of the designs being judged...

New hall / gym update

We have currently had three companies produce a stage one design / tender for our new community multiple purpose facility. Each company will present to our BOT. The new facility will be built on the existing basketball courts between Rm 16 and the old dental clinic.

Baking a Fijian honey cake for Mr Cunliffe on our Cultural celebration day!


Molly, Amanda, Daz and Niomi we're baking a Fijian honey cake for Mr Cunliffe.
First they preheated the oven to 175 degree's Celsius.
Then Daz coated the loaf pan with butter.

After that they combined all the secret ingredients...
...then mix.
Next we poured the mixture into the loaf pan and flattened it out.

Then put the loaf in the oven to cook for 45-55 minutes.


Now we can eat the Fijian honey cake yum! Bula!

Room 8's writing

Jayde, Aliyah, Charlotte, Nicole and Kyra are teaching Abby and Anaru to use their senses to add detail in their writing!
1. Start each sentence with a Capital.
2. End each sentence with a full stop
3 Each sentence makes sense
4. I have used all five senses to look, smell, feel, h ear and taste a MARSHMELLOW!

Grace, Achaia, Ade and Grace using flash cards to order numbers in tens, hundreds, thousands and tens of thousands!! This will help us when saving up to buy a dog $500 - we need 5 lots of 100! Grace.

Rm 6 using some of their new furniture to collaborate as mini teams!!

Welcome to the fantastic staff here at Te Puke Primary School
